Is MTatHome an Accredited
Medical Transcription Training Course?
MTatHome has been training new MTs for over 13 years. The
MTatHome course follows all of the AHDI medical transcription standards. All of our students are required to
use the AHDI Book of Style and AHDI Book of Style Workbook as part of their training materials.
The books and training curriculum that we use for our training are written by CMTs
and other medical professionals! These books are used by most of the reputable medical transcription
schools.
All of our physician dictations are done by real doctors! Our medical dictations are
all authentic and in digital format, not tapes. There are some courses out there on the Internet that use “fake”
medical dictations that are read by actors, not doctors! Make sure that the course you choose includes both the
AHDI Book of Style and at least 2400 minutes of authentic digital medical dictations.
MTatHome is an Accredited Business that is recognized by the Better Business Bureau
of Bryan, Texas. Also knows as the BBB. MTatHome is not an accredited medical transcription training course within
the state of Texas.
To become accredited a school, a school needs to train in more than one type of
career field. You may have seen larger schools that train in many different types of career fields such as medical
transcription, bookkeeping, and even high school diplomas. Most of these types of schools are accredited. The only
problem with this is that many times you do not get the personal one-on-one attention that you would through a
smaller program.
MTatHome is nationally recognized throughout the United States! We have many doctors
and hospitals that have sent their future MTs to us for training before they were hired.
The MTatHome Medical Transcription Training Course does come with resume and job
assistance once you complete the course. We give this service for up to 2 years. This means that at any point in
those first 2 years you can use this service! A perfect example of this service would be if you want to work for
more than 1 doctor; or if you find that you are not happy with the doctor you are working for then you can let
MTatHome know you are available for additional work. We will then re-submit your resume out to open positions that
we receive here in the office and to the jobs our staff has researched.
One of the benefits you will receive when taking the MTatHome Medical
Transcription Training Course is that you will receive one-on-one personal attention and have qualified staff
available to answer your questions during business hours. We are able to do this because we are not as large
as many of the other colleges This can be through e-mail, live chat, or by phone. All of these communication
options are available to every student. We also can offer our medical transcription training at almost
1/2 the cost of other medical transcription schools because we do not have a
huge overhead as many of the more expensive schools have.
Over the past 13 years MTatHome has helped many people learn medical transcription as
their new career and helped them find job positions for both working at home or in the doctor’s office. Most of the
jobs that are submitted to us by doctors and hospitals are for working at home. However; some MTs prefer to work at
the doctor’s office. We assist in both types of situations to help meet the needs of both the MTs and the
doctors.
We look forward to assisting you with your new medical transcription
career!
