1. Is the site just a job database or just job lists? If so put up that Red Flag! 2. Does the site work with you via email, phone, chat, or message board in assisting you with any questions you might have on getting started working at home? Or do they take your $ and leave you on your own? If so Red Flag Alert! 3. Does the site have any type of training? Such as software tutorials, resume assistance, etc.? Please STAY AWAY from ads for these types of jobs!!!!!!!! o Envelope Stuffing - Most of these types of " so called jobs" are nothing but a "pyramid scheme"! They tell you that you will get so many cents for each envelope stuffed and mailed. Actually what they "give you to do" is the same thing you signed up for! Charging people for sign ups / supplies then telling them to do the same thing over again. On top of all of this they expect you to advertise for this scam at your expense! o Email Processor - these work much like the Envelope Stuffing Scams! It is very important for me to say that there are such things as REAL jobs that people take care of the incoming email for companies and get paid for it, however it is much different than what these scams advertise for and so few and far between that it is hard to know when it is real and when it is not. This is why you should follow the tips given on what to watch for in a scam when you see a job and wonder if it is real. Remember that NO REAL job will ask for money to "hire you"! Our staff that takes care of some of our email gets paid per email that is answered & sent out. They were told up front what they would get paid and they NEVER PAID US to be hired by our company! o Companies will handle the way they pay their employees differently. Most companies are like us and have 1 to several people responsible for certain email, sorting and answering the ones they are responsible for, these are legit positions as long as the employer pays the employee not the other way around!!! o Assembly work at home job ads - A lot of people get "taken in" by these "scams" because they say NO exp. Needed to do the work! So those that do not have much computer experience are very appealed to this type job position so they can work at home and be there for their kids / family. o The PROBLEM is that most of these so called "work at home jobs" ask for $ for supplies / materials, manuals, shipping, etc. Then once you have spent hours on putting the items together and ship them back (at your expense as well) they refuse the item(s) saying they are not up to the standard. There have been people that have even sent in the exact example of the "standard" back to the company as "their" work and the company REFUSED IT saying it was not up to standard! Can you believe that! Well it is very true and this is why you need to be very cautious about these types of jobs and stay away from them, especially if your finished product can get refused and not paid for. You put time and effort into putting these products together and do not want each one refused with no pay to show for your work. That is a Scam! o There may be some Real Assembly jobs that are not scams however to this day we do not know of any. If we do hear of ones that do not require up front money and possibility of refusal of work with no pay we will let you know in the future, but I would not hold my breath on it. o Chain Letters - I am sure we all have gotten at least 1 or more emails in our "Inbox" that says if you send x number of dollars to so many people then ad your name to the list you will make over 50 Thousand Dollars in 1 month in your Mail Box. The only people making money from these scam letters is the people starting the original letter that are at the top of the list. They purchase several email lists and send out to the lists to get a % of the people to fall for the scam and make the Scammer Rich! o If we ever meet 1 person other than the original person to have really made money on this scam we will be more than happy to apologize however as to this day we have not met such a person!
