Making good use of the Summer for Studying:
School is out and the kids are home for the summer. You may think that it will be hard to study during this time, however there are a few ways to still be able to spend time with your kids and family while continuing to study your course materials. Summer time means that the kids are loving to go outside and play, places like public pools and parks are a great place to be able to do both at the same time. You can participate with the kids and then take your breaks. During your breaks you can have your textbook and notepad handy and do some studying while still making sure to keep an eye on your kids that are having a blast. Of course this will depend on how old your kids are too, you really can not do this with little ones, but with older kids that are able to play on their own you can make good use of the time. Just don't get too involved with the Medical Terms that you don't remember to look up and check on them often. Even older kids need us to keep a good eye on them. :-)
Index Cards - Students remember to use Index Cards when you study your textbook to write down terms that you might feel are a little harder to learn. Write the term on 1 side and the meaning on the opposite side. Use a hole punch and a key ring to make a flip card system to study with.
